Peter Hook and the Light di nuovo in tour per rivisitare le due storiche compilation intitolate Substance contenenti il meglio del repertorio di New Order e Joy Division. Il capitolo Substance su New Order uscì nel 1987 e includeva le versioni 12 pollici dei loro singoli, più parecchie b-sides. La versione dedicata invece ai Joy Division di Substance arrivò un anno più tardi e conteneva singoli come “Love Will Tear Us Apart”, “Transmission”, “Komakino” e “Atmosphere”. Oltre ad una serie di b-sides apparse sui sample della Factory Records e sull’EP di debutto dei Joy Division “An Ideal for Living".
